IMO buy a child focused but very inexpensive drone from Amazon or some similar retailer. There are very tough and durable drones that provide basic functionality, which are designed for small children. For a teenager, I would recommend DJI but that's $300 minimum. For a 6 year old, you should be able to find something durable, designed for small children under $100.
