Can anyone tell me if this forum has a page for custom drone builders? I just purchased a Tarot 680 Pro and Frsky transmitter, Frsky receiver. Also have the Tarot FPV system and a 4/3 type camera gimbal. This drone has 5008 350kv Arris motors and a massive Tattu 22,000 mah 6s lipo. I'm a complete newb when it comes to custom building and programming RC anything.

While applauding your enthusiasm, I must suggest that you proceed far more slowly. You are in the situation of one who has not yet passed a driving test and is stepping into a Lamborghini. Do please get to learn on a much simpler and smaller drone first.
I don't expect the mechanical assembly side to be too difficult, as long as you have the proper tools. The electronics are another matter. Your shopping list does not mention either the Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC - 1 for each motor) or the hexacopter flight controller, which keeps the whole thing stable. I hope your Tx/Rx combo is suited for controlling the gimbal and for transmitting picture data back from the drone, but I suspect there will be some programming to be done. Message me for further discussions.

So here is the nearly completed build. I built it for 6S and I'm using a Tattu 22,000 mah 25c smart battery. I used 5008 350kv Arris motors, 60 amp Flamecolor ESCs running open source SimonK firmware on a Tarot 680 Pro frame, including servo operated retractable landing gear. I'm using the Tarot ZYX-M flight controller/autopilot with Tarot ZYX-M OSD and a Tarot 3D Metal 3 axis gimbal for Go Pro sessions camera. MY RC is a FrSky Horus X10S Express with dual channel 2.4Ghz & 900Mhz radios. I'm using a very high power AKK receiver with adjustable output between .25 to 3 watt output. For safety I'm in the process of incorporating an infrared lidar unit and millimeter wave radar although I have not yet made those last two modifications. My future upgrades are a Skydroid C20 camera and I would like to upgrade from the separate VTX and receiver hooked up to a display to a more all in one GC Station like the 20km Herelink or Skydroid/SYMI system. It certainly helped that I'm an industrial automation engineer and very used to working with control systems, servos and drives, PLCs etc. I took the pic below yesterday to give my brother some idea how large even a 680 Hexacopter is. I'm glad i didn't try to build a 1000mm or larger multirotor. This project has definitely been a challenge. The 14 inch props are just sitting on the motors and the Antenna/GPS antenna are not attached. As mentioned earlier, it's not quite yet complete. I have bench tested motors, ESCs I've got transmitter and receiver bound to each other and communicating but I'm still working on setting everything up.
