I've been watching the steady growth of Bwine drones in their amazon store so I thought it was appropriate to launch our discussion area for Bwine pilots. Tell us more about your Bwine F7GB2 and FZMini drone!

Hello! I am new to the forum, but not new to flying. Just got a really good deal on my F7GB2 in an amazon flash sale. I have flown it a couple of times already. It is pretty good so far. First flight I flew it about 2/3 of a mile. No signal loss but the video had some distortion. It files way different than my DJI Mini 2 so I have been taking it slow. All in all I love the drone so far!

Maybe I received a bad unit but I'm not impressed at all with my F7GB2. It's heavy and slow and flight time is barely 12 minutes in ideal conditions. Battery charge time is basically overnight. The three axis gimbal has trouble keeping a stable horizon and the EIS doesn't seem to do anything making me suspect it isn't actually a feature. It does fold, but is still bulky for transport. Best thing about it is the very nice travel bag it comes with. I think this would be an acceptable product at $100-150 but certainly not at the current prices on Amazon.

I am actually using my second Bwine f7 as I seemed to crash alot the first time. The camera leaves alot to be desired, but does a pretty fair job. Range is almost 2 miles, tried it and it will go that far if you have a good line of site. Folding the arms too much and they start getting a little loose. Camera gimble comes of easily if you look at the botton, push the latch and it comes right off. For Some good videos on repairing or taking the drone apart, look up videos on (SJRC F7) drone as it is the same as the bwine f7.
Dont let the batteries get hot, they expand and no longer fit in the drone, plus over-charging them ruins them also, causes them to expand. Buy a cheap SMART usb charger that stops charging the batteries when they are full. Dont charge them via usb on a computer, it will over-charge and expand.
If you are having trouble with drone flying in circles, out of control. Turn off the GPS and put it in altitude mode, (Long press the [p] button) (The one that changes the speed). It will fly normally, but wont hold its position in high winds, you have to keep it steady manually.
Be wary of the cheap replacement blades on ebay. They snap pretty easily and your drone will come crashing down at high speed.
Have been using my drone alot in the southwest deserts near Kingman AZ. Dont get too close to any of the mountains that contain metals in them. Drone starts getting uncontrollable, if you are near a mountain or large hill and the drone starts acting up, just fly away from the mountain and it returns to normal. If the video or photos from the drone appear like there is too much orange in the colors, just tilt the camera down a little while using it. The sun is throwing the white balance off.
VERY IMPORTANT, dont overcharge the batteries. It will ruin them. Get a Smart usb charger from Amazon,

Oh thats great I'm going to search for that. I hit my house trying to thread the needle through some trees and my gimbal is just not responding anymore. The camera works but it hangs loosely. Hopefully i can fix it.

4-Motor Fail: I use mine for video in back country hikes. Yesterday I had it hovering (about 150 ft AGL) over a mine I found taking video. I was controlling from the phone/controller so heads down. I heard what sounded like an engine quitting on a cartoon. BUZZZZZ..... BUZ... BUZ.... then silence. All the way down to a crash landing up a cliff I couldn't climb. The camera is tough because it kept transmitting. Sucks because I have it's final video in compressed form on my phone, but not the good stuff. I thought it odd that all 4 motors would quit simultaneously, battery was showing 60%. I contacted Bwine directly to see if they'll do anything and will let you know. I purchased it 7 mos ago and have had pretty minimal usage. Any thoughts on the simultaneous fail?
