Hi hope everybody is having a nice day!

I finally got my first drone after much research and frustration and I'm so excited to try it out! I got the Wefone WF33 model, I also bought and downloaded the DRL simulator for my laptop and it's been a blast!! This sim is absolutely fun and enjoyable for learning the controls and I have improved a great deal in just a few days! I'm going to keep training on this sim until I have the muscle memory built up to where I can fly the real thing. I can't wait to see where this goes!

Greetings from Birmingham Alabama USA: welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing from you!

Hey what's up guys! Sorry for the late response, I have been very busy with my job at AutoZone! Thank you so much for the support and the kindness! I'm still learning the drone controls on the DRL sim before I try it for real. I'm getting the hang of it but I could use a little more practice.

Just to be clear, do I only need permission from the FAA if I need to fly above 400 FT or to fly in restricted airspace? Do I need permission from them to fly in my own backyard or is that class G (uncontrolled) airspace and I don't need permission as long as I can see the drone?

I also got the TRUST certificate. My friend sent me some crucial information from UAVcoach.com regarding drone laws that I absolutely needed to hear and that's how I learned about the TRUST certificate requirement.
