TOF sensor

My Potensic Atom drone has a faulty TOF sensor! I can fly it but it just keeps going in the direction you went. Up / down.

This bypasses the 800f limit if I don’t control it manually.

If I let go and it keeps going up past the limit what are the consequences?

Will I goto prison for flying a faulty drone? What if the TOF sensor fails while flying and it just goes up uncontrollably?

Thanks, i guess as long as no damage is caused and no one is injured it'll be fine.

i took my brand new drone out and the TOF sensor was faulty. It went up and kept going up for what felt like forever! i panicked a bit and then it just fell like it lost power. i thought someone had a drone zapper or something and killed it.

Now i know it's the TOF sensor fault i can fly it but it's difficult to control as it wants to go up forever unless you bring it down then it wants to come down forever so it's a bit of a pain!


How strict are they at imposing drone restrictions in built up areas i'm 50+ miles from the nearest airport.
Theoretically how high could a <300g drone actually go if it was to keep going?
