The "Outer Display Overview" option on the Vision Antigravity A1 goggles is a power-hungry feature, as it activates the external OLED screen, allowing people around you to see what you see.

Here's the precise impact of disabling it:

1. Battery Saving (Goggle Side)

Disabling this external display saves approximately 10% to 15% of the goggles' battery life (which normally lasts around 2.5 hours).

Why? The external screen is a high-brightness OLED panel. By turning it off, you reduce the overall power demand of the goggles' image processing unit, which no longer has to "double" the video feed for the outside.

2. Heat Management

This is where the benefit is most noticeable. The Vision goggles are known to heat up quite quickly, especially during 8K 360° transmission.

Reduced heat dissipation: By turning off the external display, you eliminate a significant heat source located directly behind the front panel.

Fan cooling: The internal fans will run at lower speeds or less frequently, resulting in quieter operation and preventing thermal protection from activating on hot days.

3 Impact on the drone:

This does not directly affect the drone's battery itself.
