Can I fly at night for recreation?

I read on internet, some say yes, some say no. I dont have part 107.

If I can, on july 4th when my city has fireworks, can I go up high to film the fireworks and put on facebook? I wouldnt get close, just about 300 feet altitude.

Yes. Years ago it required a waiver, but now it's fine as long as these requirements are met

Anti-Collision Lighting: Your drone must have a strobe light visible for at least 3 statute miles.

Visual Line of Sight: You must keep the drone within your sight at all times (or use a co-located visual observer).

Airspace Authorization: If you are in controlled airspace, you must obtain LAANC authorization before takeoff.

TRUST & Registration: You must have passed the TRUST test and registered your drone if it weighs over 250g.
