Hi, can anyone answer me a question please, I live in the UK. Where you need to register a Drone under 250, gms, that is not a toy, but as a Camera. Must I therefore register a Potensic Atom SE, drone, with the Civil, Aviation authority, and then place my Id, number on the drone.

I live in the UK too. Look at the Civil Aviation Authority website for registration details <Registration requirements for drones | UK Civil Aviation Authority> You need an Operator ID but not a flyer ID. I can recommend joining the British Model Flying Association <Home - British Model Flying Association> which not only has a drone section but also provides insurance.

Hi. Phph001. Thanks for your message, what confuses me, is that the CAA, state s, you must register the drone, if it is under 250g, as a Camera, and the drone is not classed as a toy. The toy part is confusing, I just purchased a Potensic Atom SE. Some sites say no need for registration, others say if the drone is classed as for over 14 yrs, over, it's not a toy. There you must register it. Contacted CAA, and Potensic. But they haven't given any solid reply. But for the £11, odd, registration fee, I think I will register.
