Recently joined. I am a big FIMI Drone fan. I currently have the FIMI X8 2022 V2 with the RC controller. My FIMI X8 PRO with the RC is in transit and should be here soon. I am super excited.

I also have the Potensic Atom SE and the RUKO F11 GIM2. They are all great drones.

Any feedback on the FIMI X8 PRO?

As a New Drone Pilot, there are a couple of Legal Things you may need to do…

If you have not already done so, you will need to get your TRUST Certificate. You can get that at the Pilot Institute Web Site (FREE…). The Drones that weighs less than 250-grams (0.55 pounds), and while you are flying under The Exception for Recreational Flyers, you are not required to register your Drone. Howevr, your Drones that weighs more than 250-grams (0.55 pounds), and even while you are flying under The Exception for Recreational Flyers, you are required to register your Drone.

Even if you have flown Drones before, here is some Good Old Fashion Advice…

You paid a lot of money for that Drone, put your phone number on it. If your drone gets lost or stuck in a tree and it finally comes down when you are not around, give the finders an opportunity to contact you so it can be returned.

Now, for the Fun Part, But do not let the excitement of the moment get the best of you. When you are going out to fly, do it slowly and deliberately. Get used to a set procedure and even practice it.

There are so many things I could write but these are the highlights that I feel need mentioning.

Plug in your phone/tablet into your controller; turn on the Controller and DJI Fly App (if it does not start on its own…). On the Drone, open the front legs, then open the back legs, then remove the Gimbal Cover.

The Gimbal is the most delicate item on the Drone and banging or bumping can damage it. I also fastened a short "Remove Before Flight" ribbon to the cover so it's more noticeable and I do not forget to remove it…

Turn on the drone and watch it come to "life." Watching the Gimbal go through its self-check is almost like watching a puppy or kitten opening its eyes for the first time…

Place the drone down (preferably on a Landing Pad) while it finishes its self-test (collecting satellites, etc…).

Check your battery status (Phone, Drone, and Controller), check the Signal Strength, by now the Controller should have reported it updated the Home Point.

Lift off, 6- feet (2-meters) or so, hover a bit, check the controls (move the drone a bit forward, back, left, right, yaw left and right). By now, your Controller will probably report again, Home point Updated.

If you go out in a rush and race thru your start up and take off before the drone has finished it prep, it may update its Home Point over that pond or that old tree you are flying over and in your excitement, you'll fly the drone long past it Low Battery point and when it engages Return to Home and lands in the pond or in a tree; it will be all on you…

Now go have fun, learn to fly the drone by sight before you try to fly it out a distance depending on the video feed, FPV.

I would also advise you to use YouTube and watch a lot of the Videos on flying and setting up the Drone. When it is too dark, too cold, or too wet, you can "fly it vicariously" through YouTube. Also watch some of the Blooper Drone Videos and learn how not to fly your "New Baby."

I have the X8 Pro and it is awesome. Very much unlike dji they have their own style, as you know owning the V2, that I know you will like. Get it out in the open and enjoy a great drone. No worries my fly high brother, use your phone with standard cable config. Be sure your hooked up to the internet and turn on the drone then the open the app, it might open by itself, otherwise open it. Fimi Nav 3.0 the rest is history, and spin on!

No, You should have receivied the TX10a remote as it is the upgraded TX10. Yes it is different as it is minus the mobile mod, which I don't think they every got working. I also have the TX10a and it works great.

Yes the remote will not work you must use your cell phone like I told you in past replay It is easy just hook up your phone with your cables and start the drone 1st then the ap will pop up or you just start it, then just follow instructions as you go, easy peasy.

What is landing? The video is dependent on 2 main factors; the speed of the drone and the speed of your card. I use only class 10 and try to get one that transfer data at 100 mbs +. !st try slowing down while you shoot video and see if it makes a difference. Did you get a Fimi card with your drone or what? I have no problems with my TX10a or the drone, video is sharp and clear. If you are using vivid mode and it is choppy try switching to default and see if that cures your ils.

Not much you can do if you got a bad one, mine doesn't do what yours does. So you are saying that Fimi gave you a hard time? What was the end result? You did not send it back? They were always very helpful to me when I called. Yeah I get really great video rain or shine, sorry you got a lemon and I have nothing for your situation. I did post a few pics I took and maybe a video of a big bird attacking my drone, the drone won. So what is your plan sky walker?

Hey there is an adjustment for the gimble, try to set it at 10 and also the advanced tab, set it for 10 too. then get out reboot everything and try it. My was a little jumpy I think default is 100 and it goes to 200 idk why. Let me know if this help. One more thing, put your drone on a hard floor and do a gimble calibration after you change the settings so it cals with your setting, ok let me know.

Also make sure your using class 10 video card it will say class 10 on it or have a V30 somewhere. You must have at least a class 10 as the X8 Pro has a 100 MBs transfers.
