New drone or fix the trusty old one?

Hello Everybody!

Two questions to you experts!

1) My trusty old FIMI A3 drone is broken :-(
The gimbal is out of control. Maybe a cable issue?
Any idea who could fix it under 300 €/$ budget?

2) Or, what kind of drone would replace FIMI A3?
- price max 1000
- own control (no smartphone)
- flying fpv radius at least 1.5 km

Any ideas or hints? All help needed.
I'm pretty lost in todays drone world

Any reason why you did not mention where you live... Your location is "Earth" and any support might be contingent upon your location...

Banggood sent me today an offer, Hubsan ZINO Mini PRO for $594. Not bad.
I tried to see details about this Hubsan, some videos and I even read the manual.

This Hubsan Zino would be more than good for me — but…

… does this need the smartphone + app? Is there any way to use a drone like this without the app?

Are there any drones available that are controllable without a smartphone?
