Is getting the DJI Air2 worth the FAA registration?

Not sure why people avoid the DJI Air2 + FAA registration, and steer towards the DJI Mini2.
The topic of FAA registration keeps coming up.

One doesn’t have to be registered and is small
The Air 2 more like the size of the MP but is better.
