Flightelf - Controller powers off after 2-3 seconds

I purchased a Flightelf falcon (which came with G98 instructions) and during set up the controller only shows powered up for 3-5 seconds with no display and then shuts off. If I connect to my cell with the QR ready and waiting the power will remain on but still no display. Any suggestions?

There's something seriously wrong with the battery or with the connection between battery and controller electronics. Bought new? Send it back. Bought second-hand from a dealer? Send it back

It is getting power as the lights light up briefly when not connected to my phone. When it is the 4 blue lights stay on as long as connected but the main issue being the display will not light up so I can not choose the correct profile for the drone.

Yes, it's getting power but not nearly enough. The lights come on only briefly, and disappear as the load requirement exceeds the available current supply. When you connect the phone the current drawn from your phone is sufficient for the indicator lights but still not enough for the display.

Thank you for your input however there's only 1 port to charge. I will try to leave power connected but wonder if simply connecting with phone automatically loaded the information I scanned via a qr code? Not in position to try right now but will attempt. Thank you once more.
