I've had a DJI FPV for a couple years and flown in some cool areas near me in Colorado. I hike up into the mountains, but carrying the DJI and five batteries is a fair load at times. I've been searching for a 250gm drone and landed on the ATOM 2 as a super addition. I have not received mine yet, but will contribute here once I get a little time on it.

Question: Is there a reasonably priced non-glare (bright) phone/tablet that I could get to use with this drone? Or, are there any goggles that could be used with it? ( I realize that might not be feasible)

I'm looking forward to joining in with this crew

Welcome from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA.

I cannot help you with your issues, but you are in the right place, to get answers. I use a Motorola Moto Power Smart Phone (when weight is a factor), a Samsung S2 Tablet (8" screen, 10-ounces) for a great image, and a Samsung A8 Tablet (10" screen, but a pound and a half--Heavy) that give a good, large Image…

The phone's image is good, but small, as expected. The A8 give a nice large image, but not very good in the sun and it is heavy to be carrying, or walking about with it. The S2 is just about perfect, it gives a very good image, pretty good in the sun and it's light weight is a plus…

BUT, the S2 is a 2017 model and runs Android 7, the minimum allowable for DJI today, but if DJI does some major updating, the S2 may not work…

I know you are looking for a device for your Atom 2, but if you want to also use it DJI drone in the future, you will need to consider if it meets DJI's requirements…

Finally, does the Atom 2 have any special requirements to function with the Atom. Like a 64 bit processor verses 32 bit, Ram 2, 3, 4 or more Gig of Ram… then there are the requirements for various sensors, such as: accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and GPS, which enable various functions like motion tracking and orientation detection.

So, having lots of Nits is not your only concern… "Nits" are a unit of measurement for screen brightness, specifically luminance. A higher nit value indicates a brighter display, crucial for visibility in various lighting conditions.

Good Luck and I hope you share your choices, with why and wherefores and I'll keep an eye out for your photos and videos…

Good Luck!
