I bought my Grandson a Holy Stone HS720. Does he need to register it to fly it in his backyard?
I did not even consider it might need to be registered to fly in your own private property.
Thanks for the help, Sandy

No it’s under 250g but I would get an app like Dronecast to check your area. If you’re close to an airport, hospital with helicopters pad or a military base then flying becomes questionable.

The Holy Stone HS720 weighs 460 grams (16.2 ounces). It is my understanding that it does need to be registered.

No. Maximum weight w/o Registration needed is .55 pounds or 500 grams. The HS720E is .49 pounds.
