As I've mentioned in other threads, I own a couple of FIMI X8 drones and DJI drones as well. Earlier today I was looking at the DJI Air 3. The Air 3 is an impressive drone for multiple reasons but there's one thing about all DJI drones that is very disappointing. NO IP rating on anything from the Mavic 3 Pro down to the Mini 2 se.
However both of my FIMI drones (X8 2022 V2 and X8 Pro) have an IP43 rating. If FIMI can sell a drone for $399 with an effective IP43 rating, the fact that none of the DJI consumer drones have this protection seems intentional. One reason that comes to mind is profits. If DJI drones are damaged by fog, low clouds, or rain, then DJI sells more service contracts and/or drones. This really pisses me off. Looks like Autel or maybe EXO will be getting my business now.
