Traveling overseas with your drone

Just recently got my passport with the hopes of traveling and bringing my DJI.
Europe, Mexico, Germany. I was told by family in Germany they wont allow me to bring it.

Any experience or advice here? Online resources? I do have my FAA UAV Pilot License.

The obvious things - insurance, keep away from people, height limit, awareness of controlled airspace

One thing I’d always check before traveling with a drone is not just the airline battery rules, but also the local drone registration, Remote ID requirements, airport proximity rules, and whether certain tourist areas have separate restrictions.

Some places allow drones generally but ban them around parks, landmarks, beaches, crowds, or government buildings. It’s usually worth checking the civil aviation authority website for the country before flying.
