Shade For Pilots Who Use Tablets for Flight

This is okay for low brightness tablets but IMO these shades are bulky and obtrusive. I prefer using transmitters with screens that are bright enough to see in direct sunlight. 1000 nits brightness is bright enough to see in direct sunlight. My new SIYI UniRC 7 has a 1600 nit brightness which is very bright and can easily be seen in very bright environments.

Unfortunately, I own a Holy Stone Drone which does not come with a screen on its remote. Unless you are speaking about a Transmitter being a separate tool for the drone.

I recently picked up a HugeRock X7 tablet off Amazon. Can be adjusted to 2600 nits! No hood or shade needed. Ruggedized and designed for drone pilots. Amazing!

I've dealt with similar concerns while attending American Flyers, a flight school near me. They focus on practical training, and watching how students manage their tablet set-ups during flights helped me find solutions. I started using a high-brightness screen tablet, inspired by their practical approach to teaching. It ensures clear visibility in bright conditions without extra shade.
