Isn't there a new U.S.A. based drone company being mentioned as a True DJI competitor?

I recently watched a video naming a new, or somewhat new, company here in the U.S.A. that is supposed to be making drones to compete directly, ( Read, " maybe we used their designs a litttle".). Which is 100% legit since America has been China's design library. So, being 74 I didn't save the video so I'm not sure everything I said is true. ( that's the old man disclaimer)

Yeah, I’ve seen a few names pop up lately when people talk about a potential DJI competitor. Skydio was one of the bigger U.S. players, especially with their autonomous flight systems, but they recently shifted focus more toward enterprise/government contracts rather than the consumer side.

There are also smaller U.S. manufacturers trying to carve out space, but honestly, it’s tough to match DJI’s scale in R&D and pricing. From what I’ve noticed, the companies that come close usually specialize in a niche — either heavy-lift drones, swarm systems, or specific enterprise applications — rather than trying to copy DJI’s full product lineup.

Do you think the market even needs a “true competitor” in the consumer space, or is the future more about specialized players each owning their niche?
