Hello everyone.

My name is Barry, thank to Cassidy for the welcome email.
I am very new to drones and because I have very little knowledge about drones I thought I would join a drone sight. I asked Google to show me the most active drone forum sites and DronePilots was No:1 on the list.
I recently bought a Eachine QX-95 mini drone, I am told it has Flysky protocol. I have no idea what this means even though I have been reading up on it.
I have a Flysky FS 16x radio which I hope will eventually bind to the Eachine drone, I haven't had any success as of yet.
I am an English man living in Finland, I am 59 years old and I'm hoping that drone flying will become a hobby for me.

For protocol read language. In the good old days you couls buy any old transmitter and any old receiver, put a pair of matching crystals in them and the one would control the other, with minor differences as to which channel was which. With the move to the 2.4GHz band this is no longer the case. Nowadays the transmitters and receivers do not necessarily speak the same language. No crystals are necessary, but each major manufacturer developed its own scheme to deal with frequency hopping and servo activation and to bind an individual receiver to an individual transmitter
