The Ingenuity helicopter on Mars first flew on 19-Apr-21, and I was inspired! I went out and bought a small starter drone, a Snaptain S5C, and named it Ingy. Ingy's first flight was 30-Apr21.
Ingy was Gone With The Wind by the end of May 2021, and I bought my first DJI Mini-2 as a replacement. I recently bought a used Mini-1, which is in perfect condition, and a new Mini-SE. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the Mini-3.
I've got about 50 hours total drone time. I'm also a private pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings, and I've got a little over 1100 hours of fixed wing airplane time.
I'm a hopeless drone addict, and when someone pointed me to this forum, I figured it would be another way to feed the addiction, which is never satiated...
I'm sort of interested in a cheap FPV starter drone.
