Question for anyone and everyone . I have the original Mavic Pro. That one where the remote plugs into your cell phone. It's become a pain taking my phone out of the case every time I want to use it, which is usually at the last second if I see something I want to capture on video or take a picture of. Can I upgrade my current remote to a new remote that has a built in screen? I am getting to many different answers when I google the question . This community seems to have much more professional and seasoned pilots on it that may be able to give me a more straight forward answer. Thank you

Greetings from Birmingham Alabama USA: welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing from you!

Unfortunately, there are no PRO controllers compatible with the Mavic Pro

You can read this article on our sister forum

DJI's chart doesn't go back as far as the Mavic Pro

Your phone or another type of monitor (I use the Tripltek) is all you can use.

The original DJI Mavic Pro (and Mavic Pro Platinum) is only compatible with its specific, dedicated remote controller, model GL200A. No newer DJI RC models, including those for the Mavic 2 or Mini series, are compatible with the original Mavic Pro.

Additionally, the DJI RC/RC Pro/RC-N1: The newer controllers used for Mavic 3, Air 2/2S, or Mini 2/3/4 series do not work with the original Mavic Pro.

Also, the Mavic 2 Controller: The controller for the Mavic 2 series (RC1B) is not backwards compatible.

My advice: buy a used second phone that you do not bother to acquire phone service, just use the non-connected cell phone, and leave it connected to your controller… The the only time lag would be turning everything on and acquiring GPS…
