FIMI X8 Tele max opinions
I love mine, just got another intelligent flight battery Plus for $99. This drone is the value king, full stop... 90 % of the functionality of a Mavic 3 Enterprise, about 1/10 the price.
I also have a Fimi mini 3, and I've never had an issue contacting Fimi and getting any info I need. I do believe when others say they've been screwed over in some way, not to deny their experience.
But I'd imagine if someone wants warranty service or a repair (especially if the repair is from user error, and not Fimi qc), they will need to buy Fimi aftercare. Only interaction w Fimi support was getting the RID for the tele max from them, and a Question about visual signal for the mini 3 (fixed via update).
The battery life is insane w the larger battery. Flew mine in the rain yesterday, and I've logged enough time in wet weather to confirm that the drone is weather resistant.
I can ID buildings 20 miles away in the next town over, see the traffic on the freeway to that town the whole way over (can get the color and vehicle type from about 5 miles out). My neighbor was an idiot and bought an Alibaba jammer, reported and handled but when he was still doing it he was being extremely reckless, not just going after my video feed, but controls, highly dangerous. But he was unable to break the control connection, strong. He did manage to sever video feed, and I couldn't get that back until he stopped jamming/ i put a building between him and the drone by landing.
The drones mass keeps it pretty stable in most conditions. It's a tiny bit slower than say a mavic air 2, but can move with urgency. The mini 3 is insane, and can fly circles around the tele max.
My tele max even handled an airbrushing very well. Bc I can't w a white drone
