Hi all. Wondering if anyone has done this. I have been asked to fly drone pics/videos at a sporting event at my church the end of March. Problem is they are in Class D airspace and the block has a 0' drone restriction. I used my favorite LAANC app to request authorization to fly and, of course, it said "No", but I could use the "Further Coordination" tab to to request through ATC. FAA says this could take as long as 90 days! I live in Redding, Ca and the airport is KRDD. The site 7,500' N/W of the north end of the runway. Just missed the 200' block to the west by 500'. KRDD has 4 commercial flights in/out per day, Fed Ex and private aircraft. Oh yeah it's a major USFS and CalFire airbase, but I DO NOT plan on flying during fire season! I am looking for responses from anyone who has gone through this and can tell me what the FAA/ATC response time was.
