I'm looking for a cheap, bright 10-12" tablet for drone flights. I currently have an Atom SE and an Atom LT, but would like something that will work with better drones in the future.

I plan on getting the holder and USB C extension cord from Amazon.

Unfortunately, this is a common problem. To be able to see the screen on a bright day the device needs to have a minimum of at least 700 nits brightness and this isn't great. 1000 nits is better and 1600 nits is ideal. The cheapest tablet that is that bright used to be Tripletek. There may be other brands too but they will start at $400-$700.

I am in Florida and have found that I have to fly either early evenings or early mornings before the sun gets bright. Also heavily overcast days are also good. The sun is just too bright. Does not matter which drone/controller I use I can not see anything on my phone or the controller.
I found out about HugeRock and their X7 tablet on youtube. Now it is rather expensive at $500 but, it can be adjusted up to 2600 nits! You can get it on Amazon along with a variety of mounts for different controllers.
A total game changer! I can fly at any time regardless of how bright the sun is. Super clear, bright view.
I know it is not cheap, and I am not a rich man, but I have 3 different drones, batteries, etc and to use them only when the sun is not bright just seemed to be a waste.
Well worth the money in my opinion.

I've seen suggestions for the Tripletek, but $1000 is not at all the price range I want. The HugeRock is still more than I'm looking to spend, but a lot closer. I'm not willing to pull the trigger on that much yet, but it's nice to know what options are out there. I would really like a larger screen as well.

I'll probably just keep using my small dim phone for now.

I got mine off Temu for 100$ and had no problems just using it for display . 10 in x 8in is all that will fit in the control but double check that. I have an Atom too. I’m also in Nevada. I have to use my tablet vertically but my other drones I use it horizontal. Good luck

What did you get off Temu for $100? That is exactly the kind of deal I need!

I plan on getting the Hanatora tablet mount adapter to hold the tablet. Other Atom users have said it works.
