Can you make your Remote ID undiscoverable with a RF Attenuator?

I read that if you implement to your drone a non-destructive, custom inline variable RF attenuator integrated with a perfectly matched ohm dummy load, you can make your Remote ID undiscoverable because it absorbs the RF broadcast energy. Does anyone know if that's true?

Just curious why you would want to do that.
