Does your drone have a "precision landing" option in the settings menu? I've never flown a Potensic Drone but some other drones that I own have a precision landing option which uses the infrared laser emitter/receiver in combination with the primary camera. When the drone takes off the camera points down and takes a series of photos as it's taking off. When you activate the auto return and land function, the drone will once again aim the main camera straight down. Then the drone compares the images, along with the downward pointing infrared system to compare the take off images with what the camera sees when attempting to land. If you have a precision landing option try turning it off and see if that corrects the problem. If your drone doesn't have a precision landing function, I don't know of any other reason for the camera to always point down when taking off.
