Hello.

I'm old but new to drones. My interest is elevated by sharing this new hobby with granddaughters and grandsons. I'm learning but have much to learn.

I have 3 drones but my latest and greatest is an AE86 Pro Max+ drone. My intended use of the AE86 Pro Max+ is in a delivery/recovery function in support of another (model rocket) hobby. I'm retired so I manage my drone purchases to fit my fixed income.

I want to setup an efficient system for the operation and maintenance of the AE86 Pro Max+. The drone is great and has a payload capacity compatible with my delivery/recovery needs. But I'm having trouble sourcing critical support information, repair parts and accessories from AE86 Pro Max+ vendors.

The 8000 mAh batteries are huge and take 24 hours to charge with my existing chargers. To complicate the charging situation a special vendor supplied battery USB charging cable is needed to charge the battery. A standard USB cable (like a Samsung wall charger cable) will not work. I have 3 batteries and 1 cable. I would like to buy additional cables. Of course, AE86 Pro Max+ engineers will not share design information/specifications of the charging cable/system so individuals can work the problem.

LIPO batteries are saddled with charging restrictions. Don't store fully charged and a charge lower than 20% of full charge.

When asked, AE86 Pro Max+ engineers only say to use the vendor supplied charging cable and a standard 5V 2 amp wall charger to charge the batteries. I have multiple 5V chargers, with multiple charging rates but I'm only able to achieve a full charge with one of my chargers and that is after a day of charging.

The AE86 Pro Max+ battery is a clear cut candidate for a smart charger that can source a 1C charge rate and manage charge levels. If anyone knows of a charger that reliability works with the drone please provide me that information. It doesn't need to be a smart charger.

I hoping that other, more experienced, AE86 Pro Max+ users have encountered these problems and developed solutions for them. Please share your knowledge and solutions with me.

Thanks
