    Hello,everyone!

Where are you in Nevada? I live in Carson City, and there's great drone flying from my back deck! :-) TCS

    Starter FPV drone

I also have the DJI FPV, and it is truly awesome! I've been a pilot for 40 years, and the immersive feel with the FPV let's me fell like I'm literally there on the drone, flying it. You have to get your TRUST certificate if you don't already have it, but that's true for flying any drone. I...

Regulatory question about DJI Mini SE

It's called getting the TRUST certificate. It's more of a course than a test. Go to Pilot Institute, and take their FREE TRUST course. Shouldn't take more than half an hour, and you can then print your TRUST certificate when you're done.

    FPV Gottles

How does the signal get from the RC to the phone? An extended cable? I don't where you would mount something like this on the RC for the Mini-1 and the Mini-SE. They're both tiny and light..."flimsy" might may be the wrong word, but they sure feel that way compared the to the Mini-2 and FPV...

    FPV Gottles

I'm looking for the same thing, but for use with my Mini-1 and Mini-SE. Because the screen is mounted in the lame "below the sticks" location, I've never been able to find a decent sunshade for it. How does the signal get to the FPV goggles in a set-up like this? Thx

Got the DJI Mini SE this morning

I got it on all of my new Minis, and I just renewed it on two of them. I didn't get it for my FPV, because the cost was ridiculously high, but for the Minis, I think it's worth it.

Got the DJI Mini SE this morning

You'll love the little Mini-SE. It's a joy to fly, and the wind resistance is surprisingly good. If you still have the option to do so, I suggest you get the DJI Care Refresh for the little bird. It has Flyaway coverage, which can be useful if you're flying in very windy conditions. Enjoy!

What to do on a bright sunny day

I've got all of the DJI Mini models except for the Mini-3, and that just awaits some additional money! In the context of this discussion, you should get the Mini-2. The Mini-2 has the phone on top of the control sticks, whereas the Mini-1 and the Mini-SE have the phone mounted below the control...

    Troubleshooting Drone issue

Check for crud that may have gotten lodged in the motors or on the propeller shafts during the crash. TCS

Considering getting the part 107 certificate..... wondering if it is worth it.......

I'd get the 107 rather than take the chance. If you're a regular airplane pilot, getting the 107 is easy. That's how I got mine. I strongly advise you to take a look at the 107 course at Pilot Institute. It's well done, and IIRC, they have a guaranteed pass option. But if you take the course...

Looking like I'm gonna end up keeping and Flying my HS-720.

I have three Mini-2 Fly More Combo's, and I'm considering selling one of them. Might you be interested in that?

    Mini SE FPV

I didn't know there was a Hubsan Zino Mini SE. I have the DJI Mini-SE. Confusing terminology. What are the difference between the two? Thx

    Mini SE FPV

I'll be interested to hear how they work! I just love my DJI FPV goggles. One of my biggest issues with the Minis is blocking out the glare when flying in direct sunlight. The FPV goggles do a great job of this. I found a decent sunshade for the Mini-2 controllers, but a glare-isolating set of...

Does a Holy Stone HS-720 need to be registered with FAA

Excellent! I went the 107 route from the beginning, and I'm not as familiar with the strictly recreational rules. Enjoy your bird!

    Mini SE FPV

I have a bunch of Minis (not the -3 yet), and I set them all to that FPV setting. It doesn't change the flying characteristics of the drone at all, but it changes the way the camera moves, so you can see the motion of the drone on the camera, rather than having the camera stabilized. It's not...
