As a new HS600 owner I was surprised to see that my drone was limited to a maximum Flight Altitude of 393 feet AGL. There is no option available to override this setting, even when turning off Beginner mode and setting the option "Remove the Distance limit."
I asked Holy Stone support and they confirmed that all of their drones enforce this limit, even though it is legal under Part 107 to fly higher when within 400 feet of a structure. Evidently they do this to avoid company liability. To me this was a shocking limitation of Holy Stone drones!
Do other manufacturers also enforce such a broad restriction?
