I can’t seem to find an opening to latch a lanyard on to my remote in order to keep from dropping it. I have a chest harness for tablets coming from GIG Gear for Tablets. Now, I am looking for a lanyard or similiar to transport my remote into the field. All suggestions welcome. Greg

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but after reading your message I thought what you suggested would be a good idea. I drilled two overlapping holes in each handle of the controller and used a box cutter to open them into a slot so that a small carabiner would hook into the holes. I then tied a loop in each end of a length of parachute cord and clipped one end into each carabiner. I put the cord around my neck and the controller hangs upside down against my belly. I just unclip the carabiners and fold the controller up when I put my equipment away.

Looks really good. I’m not that handy with tools, but this is doable. I thank you for the suggestion.

I tried the lanyard out today and I really like it. I can let the controller hang around my neck and use my free hands to carry the drone, landing pad (old piece of cardboard), etc. without worrying about dropping anything. If the controller slips out of my hands for some reason, it will not go far.

I have always been worried about the phone slipping out of the holder. When properly installed, this has never happened to me, but I am stilled concerned. I did something else today that helps secure the phone. I crisscrossed four light weight rubber bands over the phone similar to what one does to hold the wing on an RC trainer airplane.
