Droneport Texas

Droneport Texas promotes and supports unmanned aviation in the State of Texas. We organize and promote drone racing--VLOS, FPV, quad, and fixed-wing. Droneport also provides education and training for UAS operations planning and flying. Our sister company, Planehook Aviation Services LLC, is the online courseware provider for Helicopter Association International's Online Academy Part 107 Test Preparation Courses.
I am Dave Hook, president and founder for both Droneport Texas and Planehook Aviation Services. I hold a Part 107 remote pilot certificate with small UAS rating. I also hold a current FAA-certified flight instructor for single-engine, multi-engine, instrument airplane, and gliders. I have been a CFI since 1982 and am also an Airline Transport Pilot and Advanced Ground Instructor. I have given many presentations concerning aerial drones throughout South and Central Texas on behalf of the FAA's San Antonio Flight Standards District Office.
